About
Joan is a law student who didn’t arrive at law in a straight line — a year of Industrial Engineering first, then a switch to UPF, a term living under common law at UConn, and a parallel track as a sailing judge that’s run alongside his studies since 2023. He’s drawn to the places those three things intersect: maritime law, IP and patent work, and the regulatory questions that come with new technology — areas where knowing how a system actually works is as useful as knowing the rule that governs it.
